サンディエゴの生活の中で、思いつくままに筆を動かしたドローイング作品は、自然への親しみにあふれています。
絵の中の黒い鳥はカラスではなくて、カリフォルニアの市街地でよく見かけるブラックバード･･･
体長２０cmほどの可愛い鳥です。
ショッピングモールの噴水の近くにいました。
オス（左）は青く輝く黒い羽色、メス（右）は茶色っぽいグレー。
また「シッペニデコピン・・・」というフレーズは日本の子供の遊び唄ですが、はるか太平洋を越えてカリフォルニアの子供たちにも伝わりました。
絵の中から、波の音や子供たちの唄声が聞こえてくるようです。
